Discovering Open Access Art History

This article investigated the extent of indexing of open access art journals. What we found was that they are not being included by commercial art history indexes. This means they won’t be found by most art history scholars. The article suggests advocating for the inclusion of more open access journals in indexes as well as librarians educating their patrons about better sources for finding open access art journals: Google scholar and doaj.org
